The Person Behind the Clean
Dan Fernando – Founder & Director
With over a decade of hands-on experience in cleaning, facilities management, and safety compliance, Dan Fernando brings a powerful blend of expertise, leadership, and passion to every job at Dan Cleans Services.
Dan’s professional journey began in Sri Lanka, where he worked as an Occupational Safety Officer and Coordinator — leading teams in high-risk environments, managing safety operations, and ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations. This foundation shaped his commitment to delivering cleaning services that are not only effective, but also safe and standards-driven.
Dan then took his skills to an international stage, working in the State of Qatar (UAE) with a globally recognised company. There, he deepened his expertise in chemical handling, hazard control, and site operations under complex and high-pressure conditions — all while meeting strict international safety protocols and tight deadlines.
After relocating to Australia, Dan continued his professional development, earning a wide range of nationally recognised industry certifications, including:
